Book Description

How to Party is a fun-filled guide packed with advice, to help busy people arrange every social occasion with minimum stress and maximum enjoyment.

Written by lifestyle writer and general party lover, Yasmin Mills, How To Party is a modern guide to throwing parties with tried and tested tips from Yasmin and some of her friends including: Yasmin LeBon, Jade Jagger, Donna Karan, Jemima Khan, Gary Kemp, Natalia Vodianova, David Linley, Tamara Mellon, Julien MacDonald, June Sarpong, Diane Von Furstenberg, Pete Tong, Jasper Conran, Jamie Theakston, Meg Mathews, Gail Elliott and Natalie Imbruglia.

Packed with ideas to suit all budgets, it covers a range of social occasions from weddings and children’s parties to informal dinners and elegantly riotous house parties. Using the information she has acquired from years of party going and giving, Yasmin offers advice on topics including what to wear, what to cook, what music to play, presents to buy, as well as helping you deal realistically with all party giving eventualities such as wine spills on the carpet or a drunk guests slumped in the bathroom.

Illustrated throughout with colourful pictures and beautiful drawings by Olympia Scarry, How to Party includes a directory of shops and services that a host or hostess may need and useful sections like “The Pre-Party Pamper Plan” and “Perfect Presents”, taking the stress out of party giving and leaving just the fun. Stylish party giving is not necessarily about spending lots of money, but about adding your own individual touches.

Yasmin will be donating the UK profits of her book to the children’s charity Hope and Homes for Children. The charity finds new homes with loving families for the thousands of small children who are continually orphaned by the aids pandemic or through conflict in Eastern Europe and Africa.
