Author Information

Sylvia Carvajal was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1958. After graduating from high school, she served three years in the military. In 1986, she earned a degree in sociology, with a minor in criminal justice. She then worked as a U.S. probation and pretrial services officer for fourteen years. She has lived in Germany, Alaska, California, and Idaho. Carvajal currently resides in South Texas with her husband and daughter.
